I do this stuff because I am bored out of my mind and have more apathy towards the world than an apple, but it seems that the vast majority of you genuinely enjoy this... so my question is why O_o

Because it's preference, not genes.

Based upon past experiences, we have this mind-set in which we enjoy such a thing.

Be it not wanting to learn how to take a shit in the throne..

and like setsuya said its all about experiences and memories most importantly those of ones childhood
